Slumdog Has Its Day In China

Oscar winning film director Danny Boyle was in Beijing last week to promote his award-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, which premiered in the capital. The movie about an 18-year old game show contestant, set in India, won eight statuettes including best picture and best director.

Earth Hour – Disappointingly Dim in Beijing

Last Saturday at exactly 8.30pm, we turned of all our lights at home, including non-essential electrical appliances like the TV and DVD, to take part in the global Earth Hour event.
